LaFactory Barcode Pro

LaFactory Barcode Pro is the paid edition of LaFactory Barcode. The free edition already prints Code 128 labels, scans stock and rings up a counter sale. Pro is for the shop that has a warehouse behind the counter, several registers in front of it, and an accountant who wants an invoice.

Every symbology your suppliers actually use

• EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, QR Code, Data Matrix and PDF417, on top of the Code 128 of the free edition.
• GTIN values are checked, never fabricated: an EAN or a UPC with a wrong check digit is refused with the reason, instead of being silently completed into a code that scans as another product.
• A label designer: reusable A4 and roll layouts, paper and label dimensions, margins, gaps, columns and orientation, all in millimetres.
• The constant physical module width of the free edition is kept, so 203 dpi and 300 dpi printers stay readable.

Warehouse work, not just a counter

• Picking lists driven by scan.
• Stocktake sessions: a snapshot by product selection or by location, closed later rather than in one sitting.
• A full audit trail of every movement, who made it and when.
• A camera scanner for phones and tablets, as a fallback to the HID scanner. The frames are decoded by the browser and never leave it.

Updates in one click

Pro is not distributed by the WordPress.org directory, so it carries the LaFactory update channel. A new version is announced in your own WordPress admin against your licence, and installs like any other plugin update. The free edition has no such code at all: the file is absent from the package, not switched off.
